This privacy policy explains how Grant's Car Rentals collects, uses and protects personal information when you reserve a car rental in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. When you make a booking we collect the personal information you provide — your name, email address, and phone number — solely to manage your reservation and communicate with you about it. Reservation details are stored securely and retained only as long as needed to service your booking and meet our record-keeping obligations.
Driver's licence images: you may upload photographs of the front and back of your licence so we can confirm it is genuine, current, and held by the person named on the booking. Verifying a licence before handover is a legal requirement in Turks & Caicos. Images are re-encoded on upload to strip embedded metadata, stored in a private area reachable only by short-lived links, and reviewed solely by our staff whose accounts carry the admin role. We do not give any third party access to your images, and we do not share, sell or licence them to anyone. We keep the images only until a decision is made about your licence, and then only for as long as your booking record exists. As soon as your submission is approved or rejected, or once we have examined your physical licence at the counter, the images are deleted from our live systems and the record is cleared. Encrypted backups may retain a deleted file briefly, and a deleted licence image is gone from backups within 7 days. If a submission is never reviewed, the images stay with your booking until we delete the closed booking record. Uploading is optional — either way we also examine your physical licence at the counter, in person, and we do not photograph it again.
